I have a 73 long wb, with the 2 section driveshaft. According to the Haynes manual there is supposed to be an arrow on both the female end of the back portion and also an arrow on the splined behind the carrier bearing. My problem is I can't find the one on the splined, male end. I did find the one on the slip yoke. Is the other arrow covered by the carrier bearing or where on the shaft should I be looking?
Are you concerned about getting it back inline correctly after changing the U-Joints? If so I'd just make a few pointy marks/scribe a line or two showing the correct alignment.

I'm trying to get it balanced again. When I got the truck I pulled the shaft to drag it on a car dolly, and didn't think to mark it in any way, not realizing that it needed to be re-installed a certian way. When I reinstalled it, I just "slapped erup there". I have a vibration and read on the forum that it goes a certian way from the factory, and in the Haynes manual it talks about the alignment arrows, but I can only find one.
Are the yokes for each driveline section lined up? The driveline can be installed in the rear end yoke or carrier bearing yoke either way. Did you take the slip yoke apart?

All I did originally was disconnect the two U bolts at the differential and took the joint off the yoke, then slid the splined yoke off the shaft behind the carrier bearing. This morning I took it back apart and now the yokes are lined up, but I may have it 180 off. That's why I'm trying to find out where the other arrow is to line it up with the one I've found.

You may never find it. Try pulling the driveline out of the slip yoke and put it back together 180 deg and see if your vibration goes away.
Like R Crawler said, it's either right, or 180 off if the two yokes on each end are lined up the same.
As far as putting the rear Ujoint back into the saddles exactly as it came out, it could also be 180 out but it shouldn't be a problem if the joint is still "tight". It may be a good time to replace the joint, and maybe all two or three?
I had a vibration that I swore was coming from the transfer case. Then one day I was under her and fooling around and grabbed the drive shaft to pull myself further under and I guess it was parked just so there was no tension on it from being in park, and I felt it move. Replaced the joints, vibration was history.
I never looked for arrows, just lined them yokes up on the shaft.
