No Power

I have a 2002 F-250 7.3 and it has no power when in reverse. this happens intermittent. There is no visible smoke when this happens. Just wondering if anyone has expericenced or heard of this issue before?

Welcome to FTE. Does the problem only happen in reverse? The first thing to check is the tranny fluid. Is it clean and does it smell burnt?

Real quick, are you just starting the truck annd backing up, or is this anytime you are in revearse?

This happened when plowing. I checked the trans fluid and is ok. The trans just got replaced about 2 weeks ago.

Tell a little more about what you mean "no power". Is the engine stumbling, chugging, or loosing rpm's? Does it feel like it is slipping and the engine is doing it's thing?

The engine will bog right down. It does not seem to misfire when this happens. If you let off the throttle it will idle fine, put it in drive and will have plenty of power, then put it back in reverse and it will fall right on its face. The trans does not seem to slip, the rpm's will fall slowly, almost untill it stalls.
