73-79???

Just wanting to get some opinions and some "watch out" fors from you who have done a restoration. The reason i ask is because i just tore the front clip off and noticed there is quiet a bit to the wiring harness, at least in my opinion. Is it a big deal to take out and how hard is it to put back? Are there any parts to replace since i have it out and are there anythings that i should be aware of when removing it?

Thanks in advance.

I'll add some stuff; I ran into this on my '79 and really any Ford I've owned. The wiring along the firewall, especially toward the top, is susceptable to heat damage and the insulation can wear off. I think it has something to do with air flow within the hot engine bay and the opening between the cowl and the hood, so I've been told. It is not uncommon to find exposed and frayed wiring toward the top of the firewall. I had a few of these on mine that I had to patch (replace with new wire, solder and shrink-wrap).
