Third time lucky??????????
Now if you read my other posts, I still have several small kinks to work out, them d**n wipers to start with. But finally scrapped up enough pennies to put in power steering and new Ididit colum, can't wait for them to arrive and see what kind of headaches they bring on. Hope to be able to meet some of you clowns at the Super Nats, and homemade if your reading this and will be there I will bring you one of our famous milk sandwhiches.

I'll keep my figners crossed for you. Its always going to be something with these trucks. I think I'm in a constant state of "working the kinks out" and my truck is nowwhere near being finished. It's driveable but not very purty.
I saw your thread about the wipers, John had some great advice, do a google search on "Mustang wiper parking" and I'll bet you'll find and answer
Bobby
What wiper motor are you using?..Mustang?
I do believe the mustang motor has a park swx internaly in the circuit, you probably wont be able to see it without destroying it,
I know thats no help..but maybe take the wiper unit out,set it on the bench..pwr it up and go thru the motions..see what your missing
I am presuming they do a full swipe on the glass..just wont park?
Or are they just parking in the wrong place?
I guess it won't be as simple as just letting them park where they want..then put the arms on??
Just some ideas..just realized you have a different thread on wipers sorry and Good Luck!
Wow you're all over the place. I sent you a reply for your wipers tonight with the adjustment procedure. I think also you may have inverted a linkage on that.
But, I wanted to let yo know I had a 289 out of a 64.5 Mustang and it was my first lesson in "just replace everything that someone else has done." After I rebuilt it, it was fantastic in my 55 F-100. I had a 3 spd Overdrive Tranny. But also I installed a 56 gas tank behind the seat to compliment the one under the running board. One day I drove non stop from San Diego to San Francisco without buying gas. 525 miles....bladder was the size of a bowling ball when I arrived but.......
Make sure the exhaust manifolds are on solid and watch out for overheating during the break in. Early 289 heads are notorious for cooling problems - warping and cracking between the back two cylinders if they get too hot.
