starting up agian
Hello evreyone : I have a 1994 IDI 7.3 I have replaced the motor an now I am about to start it up for the frist time. Does anyone know what is the best way to start back up for the frist time . thank you for your help . Rick

Keep the batteries on a charger. It will take a while to get it going. Just don't fry the starter motor. Be patient, it will start. Fill the fuel filter too. Once it gets going it will run like crap until all the air is out of the fuel system. If you have a HPOP?? it will take even longer....air in there too.

thank you what is a HPOP??? I also have heard that you should unscrew the injector line at the injector so you can get all the air out of the lines an injector pump? Is that true how to do it ? Rick

High Pressure Oil Pump = HPOP...but you don't have one. It's on the non IDI engines 1994.5 and up. Your truck is covered in the 93-94.5 forum, you might get more help here:
