Brake Lights Come On

I have a 2003 6.0 L PSD Fx4 and when the truck is parked, turned off, no key in it, for no reason and at no particular time, the brake lights come on. They stay on for a few minutes, then go off. I haven't noticed any significant drain on the battery, but this is just weird. Any thoughts, please?

Does the truck have a trailer brake controller? My brake lights stay on sometimes because the manual lever on the brake control sticks a little.

I do have a brake controller so as soon as my wife returns with the truck, I'll check that out...thanks.

I have had the same problem with my 04 F450 dump truck, little dirt behind the manual lever and it would make the brake lights flicker, It must depend on each brake controller becuase the Prodigy in my 04 F250 dose not turn on the brake lights when the manual lever is activated.
