I found the perfect sub for what I have to work with. Its the Polk DB1240 12". This sub also has an rms rating of 360w, so I stepped up to the ALpine MRP-M500 amp(300w rms @ 4 ohms). And lastly, I went ahead and got 120sq ft of Edead V1SE(60 mil), so I can't wait till it gets here and again, I'll post up how it sounds.
Sounds good. All you need now is some nice rca cables.

Look for twisted pair, the will reject noise a little better then the cheap ones.

I got a dual amp hook-up kit by Rockford Fosgate that I forgot to mention. It is part# CP4DCK. Is that good, or should I buy some better ones? Also, that kit comes with 16g speaker wire, do I need big speaker wire or will that be sufficiant? Thanks for all the help-AGAIN, hehe.

You should be good to go.

I just didn't want ya to run out and pick some cheapos from radio shack or something.

I've been guilty of going cheap in the past and it always bits me in the *** later.

The Fosgate kit is a nice kit, It will do you well.

Hey Bgalaxy, got a question for ya. I got all the stuff today and am in the middle of the install. Now, I went with the f300 amp because to step up to the 400 or 450 or whatever was gonna be another 80.00, so I stuck with that one. Now, should I wire the components off 50w rms and the rears off 50w rmslike I had originally planned or should I bridge the amp for the components and wire the rears to the H/U? What do you think?

Run all off the amp. The head unit is really no good to power speakers. Granted that it's way better then stock, but your best sound will come from using the whole amp to all 4 speakers.

Bgalaxy:

Got everything installed last Friday(everything except the edead). It sounds pretty damn good. The only thing is, I followed the standard procedure for tuning the amps, but I have no idea what I am doing as far as the frequencies on the amps and the crossovers for the component set. It sounds good, but Im sure if I had a clue of how to tune it or if I could tell when it sounded right, it would sound a hell of a lot better.

What I do for setting the Freq is to listen to tracks that you know by heart. Listen to what is missing and make adjustments as needed.

Glad you like the system, It's almost like having a brand new car.

Alright, I'll give that a try. Yeah, its a million times better. One thing, the crossovers for the components were set at 0db from the factory, so I left them like that. Im not sure where to set it or if it is right, is that another thing that is relative to the vehicle or is there a good setting that works in most vehicles? Thanks a lot man
