Just thought I'd chime in here even though this is an old thread.
170K '03 5.4 Supercab XLT 2wd. Had to replace HVAC fan speed resistor, heater blender door and that's it. I mean it.
Everything else on the truck, and I mean everything, is original. Except of course the brakes, fluids, belt and battery. Even shocks are original, and the truck's spent its life with at least an 800lb load in an area with very poor road conditions as a service truck. towing as well. Alignment is dead on perfect as is steering box, with hardly any noticeable play. You can't even tell the engine is running unless it's dead silent outside.
Currently the only problem is the O/D switch is inop, which seems to be a common issue. Not too big of a deal, but I'll be fixing it soon. Also has front bumper damage from a losing battle to a pole.
