Question? Getting Around Fuel Prices
This is just a question abot some things running through my head....don't beat me down.
Will our trucks run on a mix of Kerosene (#1 fuel) and Diesel (#2 fuel)?
Could it work at a 50/50 mix or some other ratio?
What made me think was I was just at a market and 2 pumps setting beside each other 1 was Kerosene @ $3.29 and the other was #2 Diesel @ $4.00
Btu output of 1 Gallon Kerosene (#1 fuel) = 136,000
BTU output of 1 Gallon Diesel (#2 fuel) = 138,500

kerosene is another name for #1 Diesel. (The stuff we usually put in our trucks is #2 Diesel.) Compared to #2, not as good for your engine, and gets significantly worse mileage.my 2 cents

I dont know about that, but there was no way around it for me. 4.05 was the lowest i fear it would be until i had to fill up next time, and 39.4 gallons at $160.00, i took a picture of it on my phone because i couldnt believe it myself. I need to start carrying around the vaseline behind my seat to make it easier.
