Hey guys. I am looking at headers for my bronco and was looking for some advice. The truck has all new dual exhaust but the manifold on the passenger side is cracked and with the previous bronco's I have had this seems to be a problem. The headers I have found for the 400 have been wheel well I think is how they were explained. Does this mean outside the frame? I figured you guys would have some experience and a type that might just bolt on. I do the work myself but I don't have the specialty tools. Also is it better powdercoated or stainless or what. This is a bush toy. It is meant for play and not necesarily show
Thanks in advance
They sound great, but they do come down very low and if you are looking at a lot of tough or aggressive 4X4ing they would probably cause some clearance problems.
If you do decide to go with a shorty or wheelwell fender exit header please inbox me and let me know how the look and how the sound and work?
Also I would go with stainless over ceramic any day unless the ceramic are coated inside and out.
And then they travel along the outer frame rail until you decide to exit the tail pipe.
Some say they are great because it keeps the headers up into the under side of the truck, others say that it interferes with the steering if you go to too big of a tire.
I have not seen them in use yet and would like to see a picture of them before I would ever use them.
