[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Dec-02 AT 06:12 PM (EST)]Ok, first I have searched and couldn't find anything.:-X23
How do you set the ignition timing on a 1995 F150 MTX with a 302?? I know how to do the adjustment, (timing light and all).
Acording to the books that i have, you have to disconnect the "spout" connector to do this. Where is it? Is there a connector that must be disconnected? The timing should be 10DBTC Correct?
Old motors I have no problem with and almost all new ones are OK with me as well, but this has stumped me. :-X23
I believe a 95 is the same as a 90, which I have. In 1996 they went to obdII which I don't believe you can change. To answer your question, look at the wiring harness going to the distributor. There should be a 5-6 inch branch off of it that has a 3/4 inch plastic block plugged into the end of it. This is the spout jumper and just pulls out. Unplug it and your timing should drop about 7 degrees. Set your timing and then plug it back in.
