actualy the mustang intake flows better if you have ever had a truck lower off and looked at the ports on the head side you would know just by looking the truck lower is very restrictive compared to the mustang lower the mustang ports are bigger at the head but are still not as big as the head ports
That is completely wrong. I have my mustang intake off since the motor is blown and I compared it with my truck intake when I did the roller conversion. I used calipers to check the port size where it meets the head and they are almost identical. After that all the way up to the upper intake mating surface the truck lower has much larger and straiter ports. Also two of the best aftermarket mustang upper intakes (Holley systemax and Salean/Vortech) use lowers based on the truck. If the mustang intake is so great why doasn't any aftermarket intake use it's lower? It's because it is a very restrictive design. Stick with the truck intake, get it ported, or go with an edelbrock/TFS and you will be good. The mustang intake is a step down in power from the truck.
