Cracked tail
Picked up a 90 crown vic this week. Buddy told me before I went to see it that the tail stock on trans was cracked from a jack slipping. Bought car for engine and possible trans. Removed engine and trans today. Tail stock broken off trans. Thinking it should be no big deal I can just change tail stock. Took tail stock off and found a crack in trans case where the output shaft bearing is.Trans is junk ( swear words where then spoken) O well kind of knew I wasnt getting a trans at the start of the deal. Got to like the internet. 2 hours later I find another one for $125 thats been rebuid 15000km ago. Hope this works out going to look at it tomorrow.

There are more guys out there that swear it was just overhauled. I sold a harley two months ago. The guy seemed nice so I dropped the price and sold it. I still came out ok on my end but now the bike is for sale again. The part is everyone knows I had owned it and the present owner advertised the engine was overhauled so many miles ago.( Never happened) I try not to buy unless they have paper work, past owner's name, who overhauled the part or look at it before removed from the car.
