Super Camper Special XLT
Its a running driving rust free dent free So Cal truck that was drug clear across the US to North Carolina. The guy wants $3000
My dad wants it much more than I do. Id love to have it but Ive spent too much money on alum heads cam and etc for my 460. The bumpers are included but the truck wouldnt fit in the guys trailer with them on. The extra cab is not included.
What do you think?

Offer 2500 and go up from there, It is a good truck for the money and if it is a project truck you can make it what you want it to be.
Since it is a Supercab I hope the "extracab" comes with it! - Okay, I know you mean the cab in the bed.
Buy it before someone else does.
One of my next trucks will be a dentside.

Whats with all the writing on the winshield.Did it go through a auction? If you buffed that out and did a few of the sm things. You probably could get 5K plus for it on Ebay.I know lots of people say the SCS is the rarest, but that trk you got theres combination in my opinion IS unless in was a Lariat. So even though 3K's kinda high to most people. There are enough of us out there. That you could not only get your money out,but some plus.Good Luck

Was it originally sold new in SoCal? There's a way to tell.
The DSO code on the Warranty Plate will be:
71 if it sold new in SoCal.
72 if sold new in NorCal.
Any other DSO code will mean it was not sold new in CA.
Just because someone sez it came from SoCal, doesn't necessarily mean it was here originally, it could have come from anywhere at any time.
The most overworked expression when vehicles are sold is: Original California Car (or truck).
But, how do ppl really know that? For example...just because it has CA plates now, means nothing until the DSO code is verified.
Cars have the same CA DSO codes the trucks have.
The 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog ~ Rear Axle Application Chart ~ Section 40, Page 8 shows DANA 70's as the only rear axle offered in 1973/79 F350's.
With or without Limited Slip was available. There are no DANA 60's listed for F350's.
The Dana 70 was also used in all 1975/79 Econoline E350's.
The writing on the windshield could mean it may have come from an Police impound lot, or it may have been a lien sale vehicle, or both apply.
The 2/20 date could refer to the day it was impounded.
Verify the VIN on the title with the frame VIN.

Great looking truck. I would think 3k is much, but that's just my opinion. Any price is always negotiable. Try to get it for less?
Did anyone else notice the doors aren't properly shut? Look at the trim line.
What's the bubbles around the wheel wells? I've never noticed that before on a truck. Is that a rare special truck part or accessory?
