Has this been done before? If not, how about posting the junkyards we use by:
Major City/state in TITLE line Maybe we should put it in the REGIONS section, but I don't know how............
pullapart.com has several locations around the south......very cheap prices....but, you've got to go see what's there and pull it yourself......got a pretty good tail gate for the 84.....cost me 37.50.....yep....37.50 complete......
I agree with victorcharlie. I had never even heard of pullapart until a guy at work told me about it. We had to drive about 1 1/2 hours to get to the closest one but it was worth it. Their prices are unbeatable. Bought a radiator support for under $23 and it was rust free. Couldn't buy one from our local salvage yard for under $75 and it wouldn't be rust free. Soon there will be one about 35 minutes away. The great thing about them their open 7 day a week.
When I was living in Oklahoma City, the local Pull-A-Part had a once a year special called "$24.95 All You Can Carry". You could literally have ANYTHING you could physically pick up and carry across the gateline for $25 bucks.
I went out there with a bodybuilder friend of mine, loaded up a bunch of car parts (including a cylinder head for a small truck I was fixing) and put it all on an old beat up car hood. He picked the whole thing up (couple hundred pounds) and carried it out. Got it all for the $25.
I'm kinda curious if anyone else's Pull-A-Part does this.
The one I go to is called u-pull-r-parts, they have good prices. I think in the summer they do a anything you can carry for $25 also. They are one of the few that still have trucks as old as ours are.
