I was doing some research on mileage and just how far some guys can get their truck to go. I was kinda thinking about trying to roll my odometer over.
Anyways I came across a few threads about how many miles do you have on your trucks.
In this forum guys are like 300,000 miles, 250,000 miles had to replace this and that.
In the 6 liter thread guys are like i have 34,000 miles, 50,000 miles and no problem yet, and some guys are saying they dont even get to 100k before they have some major problems.
I have watching those threads myself. I wonder when they start getting 80K to 100k on the 6.0 how they will be holding up. And how many times have you heard, I wish I still had my 7.3. lol
I dont mean to start poking at the 6 liter though. I just really find it funny when someone says they have 34,000 trouble free miles, when alot of guys in here say like 5 times the amount!
Thats like me buying a brand new truck and saying, yeah ive got a brand new 08 superduty, shes got 250 trouble free miles haha.
There was a thread about an 08 that has over 100k on it and really the only issues were not really engine related. Something on the exhaust was giving him issues. But I know what you mean reading those other threads about a few thousand trouble free miles. It is funny when you think about it.
