whats up guys? well once again im the proud owner of another excursion. I just bought a 2005 silver XLT model with the 6.0 powerstroke with 65000 miles on it with the remaining engine warranty on it. This did come from a small tradgedy though. last wed. i suffered a major garage fire that totaled my 2001 EX. limited with the 7.3 powerstoke. it also did major soot and smoke damage to the 71 bronco i was restoring. once i found out the insurance was going to settle up for my EX. iwent out and got another one. If i can figure out how to post pics. i will. its great to be back in an EX. after driving a rental car!
Sorry tohear about the fire, but sounds like you found a nice X. Create a gallery in you user cp, upload them there and there is a link to copy to a post.
The fire is believed to have started in the extension cord used to plug in the truck.the insurance co. is trying to pin the fualt on me. this is the same cord i used all winter with no problems. the new EX. does not have all the goodies as the older one had i.e heated leather or self dimming mirror or wood grain interior however i love this new one. both of them sat on 285 75r 16s but the new ones ride hieght is much higher. i do like the feel of the 6.o. i do have a super chips#1705 hand held tuner for the 7.3 for sale onEBAY if anyone is interested. it is vin locked which can be unlocked by superchips. my reserve is 100.00. is in new condition
If you askme, i think thats a strong possibility however its easier for the insurance co. to dump the blame on the homeowner rather than go after FORD to get their money out of my claim
Thanks for posting my pics even though i get sick looking at them. at least i found a new ex. now i'm trying to get the smoke and soot off of the early bronco that i was in the process of restoring.

Brooklyn born,
I've been an insurance adjuster for the past 15 years. I have handled 100's of fires. If you need any help, send me a PM. I can't give you any legal advice, etc but I can help you understand the claims process if you need.
I don't understand what you mean when you say they are putting the blame on you. If they have subrogation rights they will legally pursue their rights to recover the money paid out. Did they hire an origin and cause expert? After looking at the fire scene they should have ample evidence to investigate.
