I have a question. About 4 months ago, for some odd reason I got stuck in snow. Could not get my 4x4 to engage, so I tried to manually lock the front hubs. As they were very hard to turn, I grabbed some Channel locks and attempted to twist the hub selector, well I cracked it.
Well now I have what sounds to be a bearing noise from the front hub. Would the plastic hub being cracked allowing water and road grime to get into the bearing assembly hence ruin the bearing???
Also, would a bad hub bearing be considered part of the powertrain warranty? I hate the stock junk ford hubs. Thanks
