heater not working

Cool heater not working

I have an 03 excursion limited and all of a sudden the heater panel dont light up or work at all.The rear heat works fine but nothing from the front.Radio works everything else is fine.I checked the fuses that I could and cant find a bad one.Any help on this?Thanks alot.

Heater problems

Take some thing and tap you heater motor under the hood. If it starts you need new heater motor. The other thing you could do is check at the heater motor with test light for power. Also if it works on high it means the reistat in the heater boxs is had the biscit.

tried that and nothing happened.The light on the panel for the temp doesnt even come on.Its like there is a fuse out but I just cant find one.

Heater problems

If you can't find a fuse out ,you try to see with a test light If theirs power at the switch. If you have power you might have a bad switch. If you have a hand held code reader it might give you a code. Saying you have a switch problem.

Is there anything in the Power dist box under the hood relating to the heater?

Now it works all of a sudden.Not sure if when they did the cps recall they bumped something or what.Hopefully it stays working now I guess.Thanks for the help on it.
