What All Motors Will Bolt Up To The 2.9v6 Tranny? It Is In An 85 Or 86 Bronco 2 Stick Shift

i was told a 3.0 will bolt up to it too. is that true?

I can't tell you for sure.. TRS has a good technical library and you can probably find your answer there.

The 3.0L is a diffent tranny bolt patten

Yeah, to use the 3.0L, you would need the correct bell housing too. The 4.0L is more powerful anyway, and in some ways, a little smaller, so you will have more room to work with.

well my brother-n-law is going to put a 3.0 in his b2 out of a sho taurus. they supossally have 220 horse from the factory

Will a 4.0 bolt up to my A4LD in my '90 B2? I either want to get a reman engine or have mine rebuilt or something. I am looking to do this soon so I am just trying to get as much info as possible!

yes BUT,dont use the 2.9 A4LD on the 4.0 engine. Use a 4.0 A4LD,it has HD internals
