Yeah, to use the 3.0L, you would need the correct bell housing too. The 4.0L is more powerful anyway, and in some ways, a little smaller, so you will have more room to work with.

how is the 4.0 smaller???? the 3.0 has a tranny all by it self. where are you finding a removable bell for a 3.0????

Will a 4.0 bolt up to my A4LD in my '90 B2? I either want to get a reman engine or have mine rebuilt or something. I am looking to do this soon so I am just trying to get as much info as possible!
