Transmission Issues
I have an 86 F350 with the 460 and an automatic transmission. The tranny is something the guy i bought it from put in. I'm thinking the reverse solenoid is going out because if it's cold it's really hard to get into reverse. What all would be involved with replacing it or would it be better to just buy a manual?

Just crawl under the truck and you can pretty much see all the stuff behind the engine has to come out to get the tranny out. Have you pulled the pan and changed the filter? You can get an idea how bad it is by looking at the junk in the bottom of the tranny pan.
