does anyone know where i can get one? ford says that they are unavailable, and i have to replace the whole harness. i'm hoping that someone knows of another application that uses the same connector that i could get. any help is appreciated
try TYCO, I was looking for connectors and stuff as well, found out the majority of Ford connectors are made by them but beware...will take hours of searching to find the right one.
the vgt connector is pretty much the same on the old style but if you get the connector from ford, it will have plastic ears instead of the metal lever which will make unplugging the ipr a nightmare
i was at my dad's shop today and glanced over at a set of 7.3 valve cover gaskets and noticed that the connectors that plug into the 7.3 injectors are the same as the 6.0 ipr and vgt. i cut one off and transplanted it and it works perfect, they even have the wire safety latch. just thought i'd pass the info along because these are available from ford and even though you have to buy the entire gasket harness for one side its still cheaper than a 6.0 engine harness.
sorry i didnt think about this sooner. the lcf trucks had a recall for a ipr heat shield that also included an ipr connector. part number is 6E7Z-14S411-A for the pigtail.
