4WD BRAKE ROTORS

How difficult is it to change the rotors on the front of my 98 F150 4x4? I changed the pads a little while back. That was very easy. Any help would be appreciated.

When you replaced the pads you were there. The rotor should have just slide off. I have heard of the rotor sticking and not coming off easliy though.

My rotors didn't come off so easy. the rotor hub had built up so much rust on the inside they wouldn't budge. two hours of hammering got them off, but left them slightly WARPED. they should have made the clearance between the rotor and the hub a little bigger.

Dont forget to loctite the bolts that hold the brake caliper on, I have seen these come loose and when they do they tend to tear aluminum wheels up.

I make it a point to lubricate the bolts that hold the calipers on. Those can get TIGHT!! But I have had one bolt come loose since then and now regularly check them for tightness.
