Weird 400 intake

I found an 4V Edelbrock 400 intake at a garage sale for $20. Its not a performer, it's a SP2P or S2P-2 (that's what the guy told me) Was wondering if anyone knows what the is. Is it better/worse than the 400 performer? Better low/high end torque? Anything would be highly appreciated

Yes, it is a low and mid-range intake. It was made before they came out with the performer series. It is supposed to be a pretty good intake. It is called an Sp2p.

Stryder - I just talked to a rep. for Edelbrock about the SP2P and in his words "The SP2P is an economy intake and NOT to be used with ANY performance parts or with a heavy vehicle." If you need more informationcontact Edelbrock at www.edelbrock.com. Good luck.
