leather off wheel

Has anybody had their leather start to wear or come off their steering wheel? If so, what can you do about it? I don't really like steering wheel covers but what can a guy do?

Mine started to come off right at the top of the wheel a few years ago. I got a cover that had the same look and now its wore out. I was going to switch out my wheel for one of ours that is only an xl. It has more of a plastic feel but I never did it.

1100 oclock is wearing on bad on a cover I got 6 months ago. itswhere I use the palm of my hand to spin it. I was thinking of getting a spinner **** to keep this from happening again. You might be able to find a leather guy to replace what you have but I have a feeling it will cost mega bucks. I think I saw replacement leather covers when I got the foam one but probably pleather.

My old 95 came with a cover that just slides on and has ridges in it for better grip- the original leather was perfect underneath. I liked the cover because it made the wheel a little thicker, which is good for the wife and I with our larger hands and long fingers. I liked it so much now her Explorer has one and so does my SD.

this happened real bad to my buddys truck. he just tore it all off and it looks like an XL wheel, it does not look as bad as you would think. at work we would wrap them in electrical tape, and your hands would always be sticky afterwords

Where do you guys get wheel covers that fit?? Everytime I try to put one on it's like trying to stretch a knats a$$ across a rain barrel.

most auto parts stores have the accesorie isle. That is where they would be. All of the cover that I have gotten in my life I had to stretch over the steering wheel really hard but you know it's not goin anywhere.

if i were to get a cover it would be the one walmart has. its mostly black with some mossy oak break-up on it and the mossy oak logo, it matches the floor mats and the seat covers....go figure

I went to my superwalmart and they stopped carrying them! I got a OK cover at O'Reilly's, it makes the steering wheel fat though. Time will tell if I get used to it. If I don't I'll strip off the leather and see if I like it 'bare'.
