Ive only seen one on my 89. Its a tad older, and a 5 liter, but it should be similar. I suppose a previous owner could have put an additional in line one.
That is what I figured... I'm still having issues with my rear pump, and these guys told me to check my filter. I said I replaced it already, and then they said well what about the other filters... My Haynes didn't say anything about another filters. So I was what other Filter and they're Oh well there is one under the engine, and one for each tank. I crawled all under my truck today looking for other filters....
Ive read that the dual tanks sometime have a problem with something that switches between the two tanks. Are you sure its your rear pump?
my Inirtia switch is fine. The rear pump works, but only on the highway. It isn't drawing enough fuel into the engine otherwise. At stop lights and hills is where it kills the most. It is the original pump. So it's 14 years old... I think its the pump
There is usually a mesh screen in the tank on the inlet of the electric pump to keep larger crap from getting sucked into the pump.It could be blocked but if you have to take it all apart anyway you might just want to replace the pump.

I've already had the pump out. I checked the outter screen it was fine. I didn't look at the screen right on the pump, pulling the housing off is a pain, and the last one (front pump) I had to break it to get it off. Front pump was nasty, it looked like someone hard put a condom or a balloon into the fuel tank, and the pump sucked up all the nasty bits around the pump. I dumpped this green goo out of the pump housing.
Getting to my pumps is easy enough. I just have to lift up the plywood
When i Pull the box of the 95 at PAP, I'll examine the rear pump. If it looks descent condition, I might take it and see if its still running.... front passenger side hit something pretty solid, but the rear end both tank look in good shape. No heavy rust under the box.
