Guys my wife bought me a used low profile kobalt tool box to day for my truck,i put it in the truck and it fits awesome, but my question is,how do you mount them in and where do you get the mount kits from? thanks for any help or where to go for the mount ect..
I used "j" bolts on mine. They hook under the rail and bolt through the tool box mounting hole with a nut and washer on the end. I think I got them at Tractor Supply.
If you look in the toolbox there should be some drilled holes already on the side or a circle in the metal where the hole goes. I also used the "j" bolts. You can get them at most hardware stores. My husky (Home Depot) toolbox came with them.

Ha...I got the Husky one also from the Home Depot. I was at the Ford dealer on Saturday, and looked at a couple of them. they wanted $385.00 for the EXACT same thing (I looked at the hinges, hydraulic lifts, and locks TWICE) that Home Depot had with a Husky nameplate on it for $210.00. Thought about removing the nameplate, but it looks fine. Why spend the money for a name? It was probably made by the same retailer. Good choice!! I was going to get a bakflip tonneau, but figured this was more practical in my current line of work.
I completely agree with ya. I have never had a problem with mine. I also looked at a bunch of them but some of the other ones were so expensive. We got a 6 or 7 year old better built (Bought at walmart) toolbox on one of the work trucks that is still serving its purpose like it should. Some of those expensive tool boxes are nice but I just can't see the extra features for the extra cost. I to was going to take the Husky plate off but it has kind of grown on me.
