Gas Guage not working
The gas gauge doesn't work on my 81 F100 with only 325K. Strange thing is the gauge won't work from either tank. Hard to believe that both sending units could be bad. Any Ideas??

Hard to believe, but probably true. If you want to test it, take the wire off the sending unit, and with the key in run, and the switch set to the tank you are testing, ground the sending unit wire. The gauge should swing full scale empty or full. Then take the wire off ground and let it hang in the air. The gauge should swing full scale the opposite direction. If this works, the wiring, switch, and gauge are good, and the sending unit is bad. You can switch to the other tank and do the same test.

Same thing with me, my gas gauges are not as accurate as I think they should be. Especially for the front tank. How hard is it to swap a new sending unit? One has to drop the whole tank I assume.
