I still have a check engine light
I still need to take the upper intake off
to replace the tube coming off the EGR.
While I'm there I'll check the injectors
replace the leaking valve cover gaskets
and anything else I find.
Trying to give the little truck a little break.
Have to do it when money is available I do
have plenty other bills to pay
But why am I explaining all this to you
unless that is you got some ideas or just being Chris.
302 c.i., MSD Ign system, Electic Fan (No Clutch driven fan), New Exhaust system with a new O2 sensor

Just telling you what I have done so far. I remember Paul saying something about your intake being clogged with carbon. Get that cleaned out and run 93 octane. I run 93 in mine and It runs very well I may add.

EGR tube was clogged, but from taking the EGR off 3 or 4 times the tube is now broke under the upper intake so that has to come off to fix.

Do you have the MSD box or just the coil cap and rotor and your fan what electric fan did you use? T-stat controlled?
As for mileage, I haven't had it on open road trip that mileage is based on
driving to and from work combination of some if you can call 140 and 5 miles of 795 highway miles. Mostly country roads.
FYI 410 miles per 32 Gallon tank=12.8MPG
