First, I do not own this, nor do I have an plans to own it! I was just surfing a classified website and found it for sale. Seems pretty creative!!!
I could be wrong because I'm not really into anything GM and those 49's are blocking the wheels and axles. But Those look like wheels you would find on a stock Tahoe, meaning 1/2 ton! WTF is the point in building somehting that big with 1/2 ton axles?! haha
BTW, this is the info given. Asking price is $8000 YIKES! Alot for a 96 tahoe with no engine, tranny, interior, etc etc!
Tahoe body and frame streched into 6 door. All body lines shaved, huge rag top slider, escalade front clip. custom mini bed. deville tail lights. frame has large build downs, truck had 30 inches of lift. needs finished,no running gear or tires included.
From what I can see of the rear and with the droop of the leaf springs his rear lift block must be a foot or more. He better install a 572BBC so he doesnt have axle wrap. Too bad that pos lowrider is hiding all the superb engineering.
Ok first off if you look hard at the rear tire the wheel isnt in it.
Cheeto says Not a mall crawler but junk yard filler. I will not certify this as a mall crawler. It makes the rest of us mall crawlers look bad. GAVIL STRICKEN!!!!!!!
Well, at $8k I'd bet it won't sell and it'll end up in the junk yard or a scrap pile somewhere.
Bodywork does look good, I think it might be on jack stands because those wheels are definitely not inside those tires and those tires aren't even included in teh 8k price. I'd bet that even if someone did buy it, it would not likely see another mile on the street. it will get some crazy paint job and some 53" michelins and you will see it at some shows but that's about it. Then back onto the trailer it arrived on and back to it's resting place until someone gets bored with it and tears it all apart or sells it cheap to some unknowing kid who thiks he can take it to TGW or somehting! haha as soon as it touches dirt, it falls apart and the kid runs crying to daddy for some $$ to buy a new truck! haha Sound about right?
I emailed this guy to get some more pics. I'd like to see some better details.
Ya, I don't post over here much. I'm usually on club cobra.
Having been in the military and seeing all that those bad@$$ michelins can do... i wouldn't put them on my lawnmower in fear that I might not make it around my yard without getting stuck! lol
I have seen some pretty sweet Michelins that were all cut up. They looked like they could perform.
I'm in Iraq and photobucket is block so I can't see Nicks build. Michelin's are fine for the mall crawler or someone on a serious budget. they're just so heavy and narrow that they are a waste!
I'd rock the rocks if I wanted a full trail rig... in which case it surely would not be rocking boat anchors as tires!
