If the truck is wired with the RV trailer plug, you can use the 12v out there for small accessories. Can be very handy to have 12v power handy at the rear of the truck for lights or the little air compressors etc... Tractor supply has an adapter to 4/5 flat that has a power port. Cig type built in.

Yep, Rec services would be the way to go (ex-navy here) see if they can hook you up with a spare tire if you take a trailer out. And make sure you have tire irons the right size for the trailer. Don't forget to take advantage of the base rec service garage too.

good advice, thought about the spare tire, but not the right tire tool.

nitrogen, I wouldn't mind having a cap on my truck - but, I just couldn't sleep in it.... I'm too old and too fat!

thanks for the link. those look good, however, I'm concerend I'd be close to or over GVW by the time I got my stuff in the camper and a trailer hooked on the bumper. I really like the 805 - the "dry" one. except it's for a short wheel based truck.

still looking at all my options.

avator sorry bout that link its not what is supposedto be guess they got bought by A.R.E or something. its supposed to look like a tonneau cover but fold out like a popup tent trailer all electric lift it works way better than sleeping under tonneau cover
