Question Trans issue

Tried searching threads, but couldn't find a tranny problem similar.

1994 F350 Crew Cab Dually
460
E4OD
Purchased a couple of months ago.

During normal driving it winds up high (3500rpm) and sometimes slips before shifting to 3rd.

If I use the shifter it will immediately shift into 3rd, so I don't think it is anything mechanical.

If you stomp on it, trans shifts through the gears normally (and scares the hell out of the kid in the import racing you down the onramp).

Ran the tester at an auto parts store and there were no errors.

This is my first E4OD, all past vehicles have been manuals.

Though I did rip the A4OD out of my Mustang for a T5 a couple of years ago.

Read here that changing the fluid may help so that'll get done this weekend.

Need some advice on the sensors and how to troubleshoot.

All thoughts/ideas welcomed.

Thank you.

I'm going to swing by the dealership and attempt to beg for information from a tech.

As I look at the diagram provided here it narrows my search, but am still looking where to start. Guessing it's not the TPI as that should have been tested with the OBD.
That leaves:
Transmission Solenoid Body (subsystems)
Control Solenoid 1
Control Solenoid 2
Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid
Electric Pressure Control Solenoid
Coast Clutch Solenoid
Trans Fluid Temperature Solenoid
Transmission Range Sensor

With any luck they'll take some pity on me.
