FYI.. It's a '90 ranger with 8-plug 2.3.
When running the diagnostics I got this code in CM. (88 - Loss of dual plug input control). I'm gonna start by making sure I get fire from both sets of plugs, and if not check/change the plugs and wires. If they're OK the coil packs are next, what numbers should I get when measuring these? Would this code indicate a bad coil pack or possibly a TFI module failure? Anybody have a link for online service info specifically for this motor and EFI controls? I got all the generic EEC4 info I need.
One other thing.. where is the ECT sensor on this motor? Autozone said it's in the lower intake by the head but I can't see it.
