Paul - DJM industries makes a 3" dropped I-beam kit that retains stock springs for a stock ride. Nice kit, I have one on my truck. Do a search in this forum, it has been discussed many times, you should be able to pull up more than a few threads.
Check out my 79 F100 gallery photos, however the way I chose to lower mine is an expensive route. I used a Fatman fabrication IFS hub to hub kit. I is still under construction but will offer you some ideas.
