I'm working on fixing up my grandpa's pickup to drive. It's jade green with the white stripe, so I would like to make it as close to the original as I can. I've found most of my parts on LMC but I still need some.
Interior: Seats, Dash, Carpet
Exterior: Rims, Fender inserts (or ideas to keep the inside of the fenders cleanish), Front fender race trim

If anyone knows where I can get some of this stuff for somewhat cheap that would be awesome.
Also if anyone needs help finding stuff I will help as much as I can.

Thanks for the help! I have to save up but I'll get it from there when I get enough.

Truer words have never been spoken. I think that quote originally came from Benjamin Franklin, but it's as true today, as I presume it was when he said it.

Unfortunately, it's a lesson I seem to have to keep re-learning.

I thing LMC's reputation is generally less-than-optimal, to put it politely. SMS Interiors is also known for having quality fabrics for your interior.

Good luck with your project!

Well you are on the right path, ask the FTE community, ask in state FTE members. That is a great way to get a lead on local or maybe semi local parts.

Check put some wheel visualizers to get a idea on what wheels you want. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...isualizer.html

Thanks! On SMS I couldn't find fabric for fords. How hard would it be to change my 15 in. rims to 17 in. Also would I have to get different tires so it doesn't rub on the fenders? Also those rims and tires are awesome me and my dad agreed on some that we might get in the future.

Does anyone know where I can get seats that are close to the original? I've looked but I can't find the ones I want.

You might give them a call because they carry interior upholstery items for other year dentside trucks. Here's 1978 for example:

This should be the style of seat in a 1979 Ranger Lariat. Acme makes them, but does not sell direct to the customer. So, you'll have to find a vendor that will work with you to get what you want. Get samples of the material, select what you want. Make sure the piping color matches the vinyl. 1973-1979 Ford Standard Cab Front Bench Seat Upholstery Kit (High End) U519

I have the Acme Ranger Lariat covers in my truck & love them. Very well made, they are perfect in every way. Excellent fit, perfect stitching. They do not have the exact type of insert cloth as original, but that wasn't a big deal for me. I did leave off the buttons on the cloth inserts, I didn't want them catching on clothing when sliding in & out. I also left off the buttons on the vinyl on the seat back. They looked too busy to me. I bought mine from a vendor on eBay. I can't find them selling on eBay currently, they may have retired. I think the cost was around $500 shipped, 6-7 years ago. Pic is of the covers installed in my truck.

I bought a new Lariat headliner for my '76 F-250 Ranger XLT back in 1979 just a few months after I bought the truck.
Sure liked that truck.

Quick question where did you get that headliner from?
