4 Barrel intake

How do i tell what intake i need to convert to a 4 barrel.

it's a 360. i know i need a 390 intake, just not sure which one.

the aluminum ones are pretty shnazzy but your looking at 250 bucks. i'll bet you can pick up a heavy old iron one of craigslist for dirt cheap. you just have to decide which type, dual plane, torquer, high rise, imitation chrome finish, etc....
i have an edelbrock performer one.

Depends what you want to do with the truck.Any FE 4 barrel intake will work doesnt have to be from a 390.352,390,427,428 etc.Usually quite a few iron ones on ebay.

I had a cast iron one f Ford and an Edelbrock. Thestock Cast one was Better,Got 14 mpg and had a Holley 650 on it.The best part is I picked up both at a scrap yard for $45. Think I still have one in Stock. Hard to find parts for a FE anymore. I miss that truck.

That cast iron 390 intake is close to 80 lbs. Use a cherry picker to lift it off. I noticed when I yanked the cast mani and cast exhaust manifolds off and replaced with Edelbrock alum and headers, the truck felt lighter on the front end.

I run an Edelbrock performer 390 and an eddy 750 mechanical secondary carb, and wow, whatta difference over the factory 2bbl.

I wanna say it was $211 from Summit, with shipping to Maine included.
