Hello I have a 2000 f350 4x4 ext cab long bed 6 speed 6 inch lift 36 inch tires. Mods include 6637 filter hutch mod and shimmed fpr. 4 inch strait pipe turbo back. The first mod i did was got the predator programmer....oops. On the 85hp setting it runs like a scalded dog. Great accel very torky. when i change it to the 100hp it is half of what the 85 is. Does anybody know anything about those tuners? I want a dp and will have one when I get the funds. What are the differences in what the dp does and the predator does?
Thanjs
the predator tunes are "canned" tunes that come off the shelf. THey are generic to all 99-03 Powerstrokes, in this case. Jody at DP customizes your tunes to your specific truck, hence the need for the PCM code he needs. One of my favorite things about the DP is Jody's ability to massage the shifting to be awesome. the diablo cant touch it.
as far as the 100 not being able to hold up to the 85, my gues would have to be that your HPOP cant keep up with the higher demand for oil to fire the injectors in the 100. Evidently, 85s lower oil demand is ok for it though.
