reverce band is worn ore channels in valve body are clogged.
To check is easy. Drop tranny pan (i belive you know how to do it spilling no ATF), remove filter. There is a cap of reverce piston, four 4 mm bolts hold it on. Sometimes its gasket leaks but usually rev. band is worn and piston stick is short to engage reverce like should do.
To replace rev. band you are to take all tranny apart. Easier to rebild all, so I odered a bit longer sticks and replaced.
I did not rebild my old auto, sold it as is and swapped to MT5. Reverce worked well.
