I want to put the EFI 300 from my '92 2wd F150 into my '77 F250 2wd. It currently has a 360/bulldog 4speed from a '73 truck in it. Im not worried about the wiring/computer/fuel system part, but I've got a few other questions.
1.) Is there a bellhousing that bolts up to a '92 six cylinder that I can use on my current transmission?
2.) What other transmissions (auto or manual) are compatible with the '77 frame/driveline that will bolt to the '92 six cylinder? (I would like to avoid having to convert to a hydraulic clutch.)
3.) Do I need a different oil pan/pickup tube since the steering linkage is behind the I-beams on the '77?
4.) Can I simply use the perches and mounts from a '70s six cylinder truck?
The '92 truck is in lousy shape. I love the '77 but cant afford its 7mpg fuel habit. Plus a '77 with fuel injection would be sweet. Any help is greatly appreciated.
