What is the correct size leveling kit for an 08 F150, 4X4...If it matters, it's got a 6.5' bed. I hear about so many people who buy a leveling kit, and then the front end is higher than the back. I've seen them, and it doesn't look right. Would I be better off leaving it with the slight rake that's from the factory? Also, how hard is it on the ball joints with a leveling kit. My 2002 was level right out of the factory.
I think it can vary from truck to truck. If I was you I would buy a 2" AutoSpring Leveling kit off ebay and see how it works. If it isn't enough you could easily sell it here on the classifieds and then buy a 2.5" kit. I have the 2.5" kit on my 2wd supercab with a 6.5' bed and it seems to look good. However, I also have an add a leaf.

Cool, I'll give that shot!! I wouldn't mind if it was a tad lower than the back, but I DEFINITELY don't want the front higher than the back!
I just added a 2.5 inch kit on my 08 FX4, s-crew 6.5 ft bed. It really changed the appearance from a wimpy truck to an tough looking 4x4! I love it. The front is just about equal with the rear, just a hair lower. The ride in the truck has not changed. I do not regret it! I got the kit from Fat Bob, off the banners on this web site.

F0rdzTuff.. I think it does vary from truck to truck, model/year. Ive got a 07 CC also with a longbed. Seems like every post i read it is all over the board on what is level. I did contact Autospring and they had told me that their 1.5 inch level gives you 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 of lift. Then other people here say that the 2inch kit gave them 2.5 inch of lift. Thats a big difference going from 1-1/2 to 2.5 and theres only a 1/2 inch difference between the two kits
I will tell you that I measured my truck out when it was almost completly empty of gas and was going to do it again with a full tank of gas, but it went in the shop. Ive since gotten it back but havent had the time to do the measuring.
2.5Inch Autospring for my 2004 Scab. First put it on, it looked a tiny bit nose high, but when it settled in (about a week) it looks perfect. Exactly level. And with some 33" BFG alls. even better
Mine was slighty nose high with just the 2.5 AUTOSPRING kit. I did have a bed full of tools also. I ordered a .5" bigger rear block from them at the same time and it gave my truck the look I was wanting.
mbogosia, I was just wondering what your console mod was? I am into customizing. I have an 07 FX4 supercab with the captains chairs and with my center console, I covered it and embroidered the FX4 logo into it. Just curious what yours was. By the way, I have a 2" front-end leveling kit. Love it and get many compliments. However, I put it on over 8,000 miles ago and today I am looking at my passenger side axle is binding up. With the truck in the air, the passenger front tire won't freely spin. Taking it into Ford Dealer tomorrow. Just curiuos if you have ever heard of that? Anyone else, please reply.
