I'm looking at a new sealed power cam and I'm not sure that it would work for the engine in my '79 Bronco. It's a basically stock 351m but with headers, Edelbrock performer intake and a 600cfm AFB. It's got an auto tranny, 3.50 gears and 32" tires. I'm going to install a new roller timing chain set when I do the cam also.
I think that looks like what some people would call an "RV" cam. It's a decent cam for some low-rpm power improvement on your 351M, but I wouldn't call it a high performance cam.
Stock specs for the '77-'79 truck M-block cam are 0.4325" gross lift (both intake and exhaust) and duration @ 0.050" of 192/196 degrees (I/E). Your cam sheet shows gross lift of 0.484" and duration @ 0.050" of 208 degrees, which is an improvement over the stock cam.
One caution with that cam: stock M-block valve springs go solid at 0.490" gross valve lift. You should probably replace your valve springs with some that provide a little more room for lift.
