CC Deactivation Switch Recall

Has anyone been able to get this cruise control switch recall harness? I have been checking with my local small town Ford dealer for over a year and nothing yet. Just received another notification from Ford stating that my 96 Bronco had not been cleared of this recall. So I called the dealer again and the service manager told me they have not received the repair harness for all the light trucks and Broncos. They had plenty of harnesses for the Cars and Lincolns......What gives?

Same here been waiting since last summer and now I think they recalled the part that they used to repair the first recall WTF

Thanks for the reply. I was getting concern that the local dealer just did not want to mess with such a minor recall notice. But with a few million light trucks and Broncos to fix, I imagine it will take awhile.

I have had both of our affected operational vehicles repaired per the recall. If your dealer is not able to help, try another or contact a Ford regional office. This recall has been expanded several times to include an increased number of models & years.

About a year ago before the recall on mine I bought the switch and adapter harness at Ford parts dept. The recall did not affect my 94 then. A week ago I took it in, service looked at them and replaced both. The answer is Yes. I have the supposedly new stuff.

Took my 93' to the dealer in Dec. and they disconnected the connector and put a zip lock bag on it (glad the tech ate his sandwich out of it first)and said they would call when the part was in.I stopped in a month ago and they said it would be a couple of months yet till they get the part.

Recall 08S01 covers ONLY 1993 Bronco, part # 1L1z-9F924-AA, you get new cruise deact. switch and short jumper harness(goes on inside of drivers side frame at rear of front tire.The rest of the Broncos are getting just a disconnect of of the wire plug to the cruise deactivation switch(on master cylinder) untill parts are availible> What my 95 got in the last recall was a new switch and short harness because it was wet at cruise switch,Not being recalled this time, IF it had been dry at time of last recall I would had gotten the 6 inch jumper harness that is now being recalled (recall of recall)
