351M illiterate

Okay stupid question. I found a 351M that I want to rebuiild and put in my truck. Im considering power to weight ratio. These motors had the same bellhousing pattern as the 460, right? So how heavy are these motors, the same as a Windsor or heavier? And what kind of tq/hp do they make? What are their weak points?

Everything i read says the m-block, in stock form, is about 150 pounds lighter than the a stock 460. Cant say i ever bothered to weigh either one myself though...

Rule of '80s' on the 400/460

400 makes 80% of the torque, at

80% of the RPMs, with

80% of the weight of a 460
