Driver side running board lights...

Looking for the next tip here. i did a few searches, and no clear answers.
The passenger side running board lights are A-ok and working fine. I just put in the LED lights from a thread about other light options, they look great.
The driver side however, does not light up. Any tips on other connections to check? are there fuses for them seperately? The connectors wee a bit junked up, so i may be looking at picking up a few new connectors to try it out.

Any thoughts appreciated

have you tried putting the stock bulbs back in?
I wonder if they may not be tied in with the computer and its throwing it off due to the low resistance....

The stock bulbs were not working originally. I was hoping it was just a blown bulb issue and did the LED upgrade. The passenger side LEDs work great

both sides share the same fuse(along with some other things)....black with a light blue tracer is your 12vt+ IIRC..check for voltage at the connector and work your way back...

i made it worse

My tag lights were out and the front light on the drivers side running board was out. I replaced the tag light bulbs and they woked fine. I replaced the front drivers side running board light and had to really wiggle the old bulb to get it out. Once it came out a small corner of the old bulb felt like it disentigrated inside the fixture and broke off inside the fixture. I looked inside it and it was corroded and gunked up. I took a small pointy ice pick and scraped all the corrosion and gunk out of the socket and put a new bulb inside the socket. It didn't work and now none of my running board lights are working. What happend. I just bought this 2002 excursion, so I am still learning and getting used to it. One thing I also noticed was that when I turned on the key after cleaning out that bulb socket and replacing the bulb, is that when I turned on the key, I was used to hearing the typical sounds of the dings and seeing the warning lights in the dash come on, including the glow plug light, and then they go out and I start the truck. This time I got no dings and no glow plug light, but it still started. What' happend?

there's all those other things on that same circuit...check your fuses, you may have shorted something..

look really closely at your grounds...tie in a new one if you have to..
