I'm new to this forum and have been thoroughly astounded at all the useful information contained within its thousands of postings. So, has anyone thought of adding a wiki pages/capability within Ford Truck Enthusiasts where some of the core information could be organized? You could essentially have a Wikipedia like resource/knowledge base and key reference containining everyone's knowledge and experience.
This could be everything Wikipedia can't be. I love Wikipedia, Britannica, World Book, etc. for quick and general information but obviously they don't want biased information, nor "How to", nor articles that are too long, too detailed, too specific, too informative - the very attributes all owners and users eventually have, want and or need. So, as ironic as it is, this site could contain the encyclopedic knowledge and real world experience that gets edited out anywhere else. Any article here could even have 'levels' of detail from cursory to; this-is-exactly-how-you-do-it including submitted photos!!! Users would shape the contents to everyone's needs not to some uninterested audience that encyclopedias serve.
Great forum posters could be referred to the appropriate wiki pages to record their expertise and experience for far, far more users to view than just those reading at the time or happening across the information in haphazard forum searchs.
Basically, this site could become the first stop for all things Ford.
