read this oasis

I looked it over and found nothing to be wrong with the truck. it had the injectors replaced when the truck was first purchased but nothing since. is that still something i want to stay away from???justsome ac stuff and something with the tranmission. The truck is an 04 f 250. pretty nice looking ride. lemme know what you guys think. im going to look at it in a few.

Looks like a nice truck to me.They basically rebuilt the trans,If I'm reading it rite.It hasn't had any problems with it since so I guess they did a good job.If the price is rite and its what you are looking for I see no reason why not.No red flags for repeat problems.Or a whole lot of problems for that matter.
How much?

yeh all the 6.0s i have found so far have been duds by the oasis reports. multiple problems for injec or turbos. this one only has 44330 on the clock. which im gonna ask how often they drive it. cause i have heard of the turbo vanes sticking if not driven alot. other than that looks clean to me.

The transmissions been rebuilt and the PCM re-flashed. Those are the only 2 items on the list that aren't the typical DIY type project. I don't think anything on there is considered to far out of the norm for the 04 models. The rest of those items don't sound bad and you could do them yourself if needed. If you're concerned check into the new Ford ESP warranty which can take you up to 7 yrs/200k.

Looks like a pretty good truck to me.

Yup, The exact same truck. I almost crapped myself when I saw my google search for my VIN come back to a site I visit on a daily basis. The truck seems to be pretty descent so far. It does have a "injector knock" though. --> https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...be-normal.html .Of course, it is cold here. I just hope I didn't buy a money pit.

Smart man for buying a 7.3. Wish I would have done some more research before I bought a 6.0L. Oh well, maybe she'll treat me right if I do the same.

BTW...I am in Spokane Washington.

First thing you want to do is visit the 6.0 forum and read until your eyes are crossed. Then while your eyes are mending, change your oil to a 5W/40 CJ-4 Synthetic. I recommend Rotella T-6. Only 14 quarts.

I have actually been reading since October, ever since I bought my first 6.0L. I have learned a ton so far, but know I have a long ways to go. I can't believe how much info is here. It was a dud, and returned it to the dealership for this one. Yes, I consciously made the decision to buy another 6.0.

I plan on changing the oil in it pretty soon here to one of those two. Thanks.

No jinxing. Just hoping that the back seat wasn't used, lol. At least not that much anyways. I'm just hoping for the best. I bought a two year warranty with it, so hopefully it does what it's going to do soon.

For what it is worth I had an early 6.0L F450 dump at one time. Pretty darn good truck. I had my reservations about the torqshift transmission. I bet that has been rebuilt by now, but the engine was a sweetheart. I really liked it.

Your truck is quite a nice looker. May it be just as dependable.

Thanks lariat79sc. I hope its dependable too. I ran over to a local dealership here at lunch and had them rum an OASIS on it. They said they didn't see anything out of the norm.The print off didn't really have any detailed info on it, not like what was on the beginning of the post. Maybe someone that has more of an idea about those reports can chime in. I included a to photobucket of the report (I hope it works), does it look like a typical report or should there be more detail?
