New radiator

Does anyone know of a company that makes a nice alum. radiator for our trucks? I would like for it to be just a bolt in. I already have an electric fan to run. Thanks

Don't know why you want to spend the extra bucks to buy alumn. Our trucks don't have cooling issues with the standard radiators when something is not gummed up inside.

The Modine brand is priced right and has been performing well for many years. IMHO

I put a Griffin in mine and it works very well. You can look up the correct radiator part number on thier web site and order it from Summit or Jeg's. They are expensive but it sure does look nice and works very well.

I was having overheating problems with a standard radiator when I was in stop and go traffic on those 100+ days. Now no problems at all. I also used a set of pullys, fan shroud, fan and fan clutch from a 75 F250. The pully's overdrive the water pump. I aslo made sure the shroud was sealed against the radiatior by using strips of hard density foam rubber. The radiator is made from fairly thick aluminum and you shouldn't have a problem with anything poking a hole in it like some people will tell you, but to be on the safe side I made a rock shield and bolted it to the frame underneath it for added protection. I think I have a picture in my gallery.

Thanks DarkWolf That is a super nice truck you have. I had a 390 with alum. heads and intake. It just never made the power that I thought it should have. It ran ok but I never was totally happy with it. It died when for some odd reason the oil pump drive rod broke with only around 1,000 miles on it. It has since been replaced with a little 4.6 out of a mustang. Check out my gallery. I finally set one up.

i got a new radiator from kragen's once, $269.00, then front shaft of water pump broke off. ruined a the 5 day old radiator. i found a company that sells the same radiator for less. got it from them it was only $219.00. if you like just call: 1 800 radiator.
