Door Chimes

Can the door chimes be permanently shut off by cutting the Black / pink stripe wire under the steering wheel dash?

It certainly can. I did both of my last two 150's that way but I put in a simple toggle switch so I could disable/enable the chime.

That would be correct. Black with pink stripe.
