Radiator hose reuse
Hi all, a couple months ago I replaced the radiator in my '79 pickup which has the straight six. When I did it I went ahead and put brand new hoses on it. Very recently my water pump started seeping coolant, so I'm going to go ahead and replace that. My question is, since my recent radiator hoses only have a couple hundred miles on them, is it okay to reuse them? Or will they not seal properly the second time around? Thanks.

The upper and lower hoses are going to be good to go when you replace your water pump. You may or need to replace the clamps though depending on condition. Remember to check your thermostat, bypass and heater hoses too. Prime time to replace them when the system is drained.
