429 is another animal and i sold the one i had to a freind , the fe's i got are 360's one sweetheart , strong runner with a c-6 , and a tired one that will one day become the basis for a stroker for god knows what .the fe would only be temp i love my flatty !!!!!!!!!!!
ya I kinda firgured it be something like that given your name and all. The 53 is in good shape. I wish my grill was as nice as yours, you cant tell in the pics but i got a bit of a dent on the passenger side grill where the previous owners mechanic drove it into a tool box. It looks like a very very nice project. I got lucky with mine, it had a partial resto like 20 years ago. Has only 56,000 original miles on it and motor has never been rebuilt
mine is pretty much allright. the wiring is shot , butchered by the p.o. the flatty has been apart before . and when i got it i had to put a new valve two new guides and some other things in it as the po bent it and got carried away when it got drug back out . it was frozen up . it aint perfect but she's mine and i love her . the name comes from the fact that my 55 was a one ton car hauler before it morphed into a 1/2 ton .
lol ya Ill drive my 53 till the wheels fall off and save the FE for a 30 something car/truck im looking for. I found a 36 ford truck but the owner backed out of the deal so im on the hunt again
ya is a little to far away or i'd sell ya my 49 , but it's a complete , was running truck it's in the gallery , and i gotz lots more pics . the only bad rust is the front clip and some support crossmembers for the bed . it is all there right down to the 8rt flatty . got a fella in delaware looking at her . i dont have the time right now and i cant see letting it sit , and my money is going to the 53 so ........... oh and if im slow answering im on another forum stirring some poop as it were !!!!!! i'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!

The pretty chromed one is from a car at the Blackies Car Show held each year in Fresno,CA. The cars are by invatation only. Yep, you have to be asked to bring your car to this show. Needless to say, the cars are all exceptional.
